Gummi Local Government Area is situated in Zamfara West Senatorial District with its headquarters in the town of Gummi. Towns and villages that make up Gummi LGA include Birnin Tudu, Gummi, Albarkawa, Yardiga, Yartsayasu, and Lemawa . It has a landmass of 2,610 km² and is located at coordinates 12°08′30″N, 5°07′30″E.
