Surulere LGA, Oyo State

Surulere Local Government Area (LGA), with headquarters in the town of Iresa-Adu , is located in the Central Senatorial District, Oyo State, Nigeria. It was created on 11th May 1989 and covers a total area of 846.3 km². The LGA has a population of 142,070 (censure 2006)  and 200,600  As projected for 2022. Surulere has a population density of 237.0 people per square kilometer . The economy of Surulere is centered around agriculture, with the production of crops such as yams, cassava, maize, and rice.  Being central to the local economy. Surulere LGA has geo coordinates of 8°04'18.44" N 4°24'53.64" E.
