Orelope LGA, Oyo State

Orelope Local Government Area (LGA), with headquarters in the town of Igboho , is located in Oyo North Senatorial District, Oyo State, Nigeria. The Orelope has a longitude and latitude of 8°49'59.99" N 3°45'0.00" E . It was created on 4th December 1996 and has a population of 148,600 according to the 2022  Projected population. The LGA covers an area of 930.1 km² and has a population density of 159.8 people per square kilometer. Agriculture is the major economic activity, with products such as watermelon, golden melon, cucumber, orange, pineapple, cassava, yam, cocoa, palm oil, okra, and vegetables.  Being central to the local economy.
