Ogbomosho South Local Government Area (LGA), with headquarters in the Arowomole area of Ogbomoso, is located in Oyo North Senatorial District in Oyo State, Nigeria.  It a geo coordinates of 8°04'23.52" N 4°14'11.69" E .  Founded in 1991, it has a population of 185,815 as per the 2006 census, with a projected population of 143,500 in 2022 . The LGA covers a total area of 235 km² and has a population density of 3,235 people per square kilometer. Agriculture and trade  Dominate the local economy, and the region is also known for its peace and security.
