Iseyin LGA, Oyo State

Iseyin Local Government Area (LGA), with headquarters in the Oke-Ogun  Zone of Oyo State is an important LGA in Oyo North Senatorial District. , Nigeria. Iseyin is known for its rich cultural heritage and fertile land. It spans a total area of 1,458 square kilometers and has a population of 365,300 (2022 projected) . The population density is 156.0 people per square kilometer. Iseyin is renowned for its production of Aso Òkè or Òfì, a traditional fabric used in ceremonies among the Yoruba people, as well as for its tobacco cultivation. The region also boasts several institutions of higher learning, including the LAUTECH College of Agricultural Sciences and Renewable Natural Resources, and SAF Polytechnic.
