Ibarapa North LGA, Oyo State

Ibarapa North Local Government Area (LGA), with headquarters in the town of Ayete , is an important local government within Oyo South Senatorial District  In Oyo State, Nigeria. It was created in 1996. The LGA covers a total area of 1,218 square kilometers and has a population of 101,092 (2006 census), with a projected population of 143,300  In 2022, resulting in a population density of 119.3 people per square kilometer.

Agriculture is the dominant economic activity in Ibarapa North, where farming is a key contributor to the region's economy.
