Osogbo Local Government Area (LGA), with headquarters in Osogbo town , is the capital of Osun State, Nigeria. Established in 1991, Osogbo spans 126 square kilometers and has a population of 201,900 (2022 projection). The population density is 1,602 people per square kilometer.   Osogbo is renowned for its arts and culture, including the Osun-Osogbo Sacred Grove, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and the Osogbo School of Art. It is the political and economic hub of Osun State.   Osogbo LGA has geo-coordinates of 7°46′N 4°34′E
