Obokum LGA, Osun State

Obokun Local Government Area (LGA), with its headquarters in Ibokun, is part of the Osun East Senatorial District in Osun State, Nigeria. Established in May 1989, Obokun spans 510.8 square kilometers and had a population of 116,511 according to the 2006 census, projected to reach 151,700 by 2022. This results in a population density of approximately 297 people per square kilometer. The economy is primarily agricultural, with a small mining industry also contributing to the local economy.
