Iwo LGA, Osun State

Iwo Local Government Area (LGA), with headquarters in Iwo town, is part of the Osun West Senatorial District in Osun State, Nigeria. Iwo spans 244.7 square kilometers and had a population of 191,377 (2006 census), projected to be 248,400 in 2022, resulting in a population density of 1,015 people per square kilometer.  

The economy of Iwo is driven by agriculture, cotton weaving, and dyeing. Notable institutions include Iwo City Polytechnic Feesu, Wolex Polytechnic, and Westland University.
