Ife Central LGA, Osun State

Ife Central, headquartered in the city of Ile Ife, is a historical local government in the Osun East Senatorial District in Osun State, Nigeria. Covering an area of 136.3 square kilometers, the population was 167,254 (2006 census) and is projected to be 217,100 in 2022, giving a population density of 1,592 people per square kilometer. Ife Central is an agricultural hub with vibrant markets such as Oja Titun. It is home to Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU).
