Ifedore LGA, Ondo State

Ifedore LGA, headquartered in Igbara-Oke , lies within the Ondo Central Senatorial District. Covering an area of 366.8 square kilometers, it had a population of 176,327 in 2006, projected to grow to 276,800 by 2022 , resulting in a population density of 754.5 people per square kilometer. Ifedore is primarily an agrarian region, with cassava, yam, maize, and cocoa as the major crops. The LGA also has a growing trade and small-scale industrial sector. Its strategic location near Akure facilitates economic growth and enhances access to markets. Ifedore celebrates traditional festivals such as the Ijesu Festival (New Yam Festival)  with pomp and pageantry. The people of Ifedore are predominantly Yoruba and are known for their warm hospitality and strong community bonds.
