Ibeju-Lekki Local Government Area (LGA) is a coastal region in Lagos State, Nigeria, situated within the Lagos East Senatorial District. The administrative centre is Igando Oloja following the creation of the Lekki Council Development Area. Ibeju-Lekki covers an expansive area of 415.9 square kilometres and recorded a population of 117,793 in 2006. By 2022, this figure was projected to rise to 174,400, resulting in a population density of approximately 419.3 people per square kilometre . Fishing is the dominant occupation among the indigenes, with men harvesting a variety of marine species such as fish, prawns, and lobsters from the Lagos Lagoon and Atlantic Ocean.
