Kankia, a Local Government Area situated in Katsina State, Nigeria, has its administrative center in the town of Kankia. The town is strategically located on the Kano-Katsina road, designated as the A9 highway, at the coordinates 12°32′57″N 7°49′31″E. The Local Government Area encompasses several towns and villages, including Kafin Dangi, Sukuntuni, Rimaye, Sabuwar Duniya, Tafashiya, Gaza, Kafin-soli, and Kankia itself.The population of Kankia Local Government Area was recorded as 151,395 in the 2006 census.
