Bakori LGA, Katsina State

Bakori Local Government Area (LGA) is in Katsina State, Nigeria. Established as an independent LGA on May 15, 1989, it was previously a part of Funtua LGA. Bakori shares boundaries with Funtua to the west, Malumfashi to the north, Danja to the south, and Kankara to the east.Bakori Local Government Area (LGA) is situated at 11°33′N 7°26′E and has a postal code of 831.  The LGA encompasses a land area of 736.5 square kilometers.  Based on the 2006 census, the population was 149,516. However, the projected population for 2022 is 267,200, resulting in a population density of 362.8 inhabitants per square kilometer. Among the notable institutions within Bakori is the Federal Government Girls College.
