Onuimo LGA, Imo State

Onuimo  is situated in the northern part of Imo State, with the headquarters in the town of Okwe. It is amongst the local governments that make up the Imo North senatorial zone. According to the 2006 census, the population was 99,368, and it is projected to reach 138,100 by 2022. The area covers 91.10 km²  and has a strong agricultural base, including the cultivation of crops like yam, cassava, and cocoyam.
