Okigwe LGA, Imo State

Okigwe is located in the northern part of Imo State and serves as an important commercial center. The headquarters of the LGA are in the town of Okigwe. It is amongst the local governments that make up the Imo North senatorial zone. The population in 2006 was 132,701, with a projected population of 184,500 by 2022. The area spans 327.5 km².
