The headquarters of Ekiti Southwest is Ilawe Ekiti. Agriculture is central to the economy of Ekiti Southwest, with residents primarily engaged in farming cash and food crops such as cocoa, kola nut, oil palm, citrus, cereals, and various tubers like yam and cassava. Additionally, locals participate in petty trading, lumbering, pottery, mat weaving, and other crafts.
