Fufore LGA, Adamawa State

Fufure Local Government Area, headquartered in Fufure Town, belongs to the Adamawa Central Senatorial District in Adamawa State, Nigeria. It was created in 1996 and spans 5,066 square kilometers. The population was 209,460 (2006 census) and projected to be 323,000 in 2022, giving a density of 108 people per square kilometer. The LGA’s main economic activities include farming (especially millet, yam, beans, Soya beans, sorghum and rice) and animal husbandry. The Bagale and Shaffa Jauole lakes, two well-known lakes located inside the borders of Fufore LGA. Educational institutions in the area are limited, but there are various primary and secondary schools like Government Secondary School Fufore.
