Yala LGA, Cross River State

Yala local Governmet Area of cross river state was created in august 1999 with it’s headquarters in Okpoma . Yala is under the Cross River North Senatorial District and had a population of 211,557 people in 2006 and a projection of 322,200 in 2022. It has a population density of 190 people per kilometer square and covers an area of 1,689 kilometer square. The economy of Yala thrives on farming of crops like yam,plantain, and pineapple.
