Hawul LGA, Borno State

Hawul Local Government Area (LGA), with its headquarters in Azare, is part of the Borno South Senatorial District. Established in 1996; Hawul covers an area of 1,867 square kilometres. The 2006 population of 120,733 has risen to an estimated 176,900 by 2022, with a density of 89 people per square kilometre.
