Ningi LGA, Bauchi State

Ningi Local Government Area (LGA), with headquarters in Ningi Town, is a key local government within Bauchi Central Senatorial District in Bauchi State, Nigeria. Created in 1976, Ningi LGA covers an area of 4,943 square kilometres with a population of approximately 385,997 (2006 census) and an estimated 2022 population of over 689,300 by 2022, resulting in a population density of about 101 people per square kilometer.

The economy of Ningi is predominantly agricultural, with millet, sorghum, groundnuts, sugarcane and livestock farming being major activities. Trading and local crafts also play vital roles.
