Ekiti State Audited Financial Report For 2024
Ekiti State Audited Financial Report For 2024 The Office of the Auditor-General for Local Governments in Ekiti State has officially released its annual audit report for the fiscal year ended December 31, 2024, uncovering a mixture of massive statutory inflows and deep-seated systemic infractions across all 16 Local Government Councils. The report, signed by Auditor-General Dr. (Mrs.) Iyadunni Victoria Oke, presents a comprehensive evaluation of the councils' General Purpose Financial Statements (GPFS), prepared under the internationally recognized IPSAS Accrual Basis of Accounting. While Oke certified that the financial statements generally offer a "true and fair view" of the state’s local finances, the document pulls back the curtain on severe internal control failures, unproduced revenue receipts, missing revenue booklets, and an overwhelming reliance on federal allocations.
